RGV was quick to dispel rumors, confirming that Ramya isn’t portraying a ghost. Announced back in April with filming kicking off in September, the project reunites Bajpayee and Varma after their iconic “Satya” collaboration, as Bajpayee shared in a heartfelt motion poster note: “Shoot begins from Satya to now… some journeys are meant to come full circle.” The film’s quirky premise involves a police station turning haunted post a deadly encounter, sending cops fleeing from vengeful gangster spirits, all amplified by top-notch VFX and chilling effects for a terrifying yet fun ride.
This marks the maiden on-screen team-up between RGV and Ramya Krishnan, despite their 36-year parallel careers in the industry. Ramya has been riding high on social media buzz from the massive theatrical re-release of the “Baahubali” franchise on October 31, where her powerhouse performance continues to captivate audiences. Meanwhile, Varma is fueling nostalgia with re-releases of his classics: the 1989 breakthrough “Shiva,” which launched his career to acclaim, and the beloved “Rangeela,” set to hit theaters again on November 28.
