Chiranjeevi Honoured With NTR National Film Award

Megastar Chiranjeevi was conferred with the prestigious NTR National Film Award at the Telangana Gaddar Film Awards (TGFA) 2025, held on Wednesday evening at a glittering ceremony here. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy personally presented the honour to the veteran actor in recognition of his five-decade-long contribution to Indian cinema.

The star-studded event, organised by the Telangana government to celebrate excellence in Telugu film industry, was attended by several film personalities including Kamal Haasan, Nagarjuna, and other industry legends. The awards coincided with Ugadi, the Telugu New Year, adding a festive touch to the occasion.

In his emotional acceptance speech, Chiranjeevi expressed deep gratitude to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, describing him as the driving force behind the new film awards initiative. “It is a great honour to receive an award named after the legendary NTR garu,” the Megastar said, his voice filled with emotion. He extended Ugadi greetings to the people of both Telugu states and thanked the jury, the government, and his fans for their unwavering support throughout his journey.

Chiranjeevi also made a special mention of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, underscoring his commitment to Telugu unity.

Shortly after the event, Chiranjeevi shared his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter):

The Telangana Gaddar Film Awards are expected to become an annual affair, with the government planning to make it a major platform to recognise talent in Telugu cinema.
