Rishab Shetty’s epic prequel, Kantara: Chapter 1, has stormed to the top as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025, eclipsing Vicky Kaushal’s historical saga ‘Chhaava’.
Now, the wait is over: the film is set to debut on OTT on October 31. Prime Video, the movie’s digital partner, dropped the official announcement across their social channels. Fans can dive in with audio options in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam right from launch day.
Hold off on the Hindi dub, though—it’s on ice for now, thanks to the Multiplex Association of India’s rules. This massive production, featuring standout performances from Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, and Jayaram, comes courtesy of producer Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films. The soundtrack, crafted by Ajaneesh Loknath, adds that extra layer of intensity to the folklore-driven tale.
